Boyfriend's Birthday Part Two

The day after boyfriends birthday (back in September, remember?), we went out with his family to celebrate. I curled my hair a la Kate Middleton, and wore my first peplum top. Boyfriend wore his new plaid tie that I bought him from UO.

Boyfriends Birthday Part One

 

In continuation with my old pictures theme, Boyfriend had his birthday in September. If you follow me on Instagram (@veronicatheharmonica) then you probably saw the dozen or so pictures I posted of us with fake mustaches and at dinner. I suprised Boyfriend and took in to Ruggles in Rice Village, where they are said to have amazing Tre Leches cake, which happens to be Boyfriends favorite. The dinner was amazing and the cake was delicious and a good time was had by all. When we got home I gave him his gifts, which was a set of fake mustaches and a new plaid tie (not the one seen here, check back for tomorrow post to see it). Next, we took about a hundred pictures with the mustaches. Boyfriend had a good birthday  :)

Kooza!

 

I found some old pictures on my camera. Back in August, boyfriend and I went to Cirque Du Soleil Kooza. Boyfriend loves Cirque de Soleil (or how I want to spell it, Cirus Ole). Although its not my favorte type of show to see, there are so many talented people in it. Plus, Im just glad boyfriend was so happy to see it, he is like a little kid in a candy store at these things.

I wanted to take more of a dressy/casual approach to this outfit and event, because thats typically what I've seen people wear to them in the past. I chose a white baseball style shirt with a lace skirt and black ked-style shoes

Color Run

 

A few weeks ago, me and boyfrien did the Color Run in Houston!

Let me tell you, this is the funnest 5k there is!! They arent lying when they say that! Everyone is there to have fun, which is nice, because right now I dont think I could run 5k to save my life. Im more of a walk/run/walk person. How the Color Run works, is every Kilometer, they throw a different color powder at you. At the end of the run you end up looking like a colored mess.

At the end of the run there is a dance party. They give you a color packet, and every 5 minutes, they have a giant color throw. It got so dark from the color that I literally couldnt see in front of me! it was insane!

 Boyfriend took me out for a date last Thursday, so I decided to wear my new peplum top! Ahh I love peplum. They are the best. I picked this one up at F21.

Last week I went to visit my little sister M in Austin. She and I have always been very close and its been hard not seeing her as often since she lives far away now. But I had a weekend off between semesters so we decided to make the most of it. She took me out to Veggie Heaven, a vegan resturant that was incredibly good! The best tofu I've ever had. Then we window shopped at Anthropologie and made our way to Whole Foods to look for some pumpkin ice cream. We never did find any, but we got Sea Salted Caramel. ohmygosh, best ice cream ever. Then we fell asleep talking, just like sisters are suppose to. Sunday morning we went for a hike and drove around looking for Ryan Gosling who was in Austin filming a movie. The perfect sisters weeked ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Halloween

 

After three years of long distance and one poorly planned Halloween, Boyfriend and I were finally able to do a couples costume for Halloween! So, we decided on the best duo of all: the old man and the little asian kid from UP! I think Boyfriend totally pulls off the old man look. He spent hours making that cardboard house look just like the one from the movie, only to find out  that the US has a shortage of helium right now and you cant buy helium balloons :(  all in all we still had a great Halloween night taking my brother and sister trick or treating.

Of course the two main stars of the night, E and M. E was suppose to be a hot dog, but said it was too itchy, so for trick or treating he was Super man. M was Katy Perry, that girl is obssessed with her! My mom made her a light up dress and everything. She looked awesome!

 

 Here are the pumpkins Boyfriend and I made a few weeks back. i did the owl, he did the wolf.

 

 

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and ate lots of candy!!

Now starts my favorite season, the march to Thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday! I love the food and getting to spend time with family and the excitement for Christmas is just begining. Oh I cant wait!!

 

 

I got Bangs!

 

I finally took the plunge and got bangs! Somewhere between watching too many episodes of New Girl and Glee I convinced myself to do it! Im definately in love with them for now (and its been a few weeks). But you know what they say, you always end up regretting you got them... so we will see how this pans out.
