Boyfriends is the haunted house.

His is wayyy better.

But I still like mine.

Unfortunately I didnt get to celebrate Halloween this weekend. On Saturday I went with boyfriends family for a big birthday celebration, and we spent Sunday doing Spanish homework and snuggling and watching Captain America. I was also on call Sunday night. 

But I still had a pretty great weekend. 

These were my friends and mine's pumpkins from last year.

Nerdy Thrifting

Today I got a hair cut.

I guess I got a little stir crazy over the last few days and decided that this long mess hanging from my head was just too much.

soooooo I chopped it off.

I made the mistake of asking for too many layers.

but it will grow....

Im thinking of going shorter.

but Im also missing it long...

Time will tell.

This lovely outfit post is from a few weeks ago when I went thrifting with my twin Stef.

Note to self: dont wear this outfit thrifting.

What to wear thrifting 101:

1. tights perferably or skinny jeans or slim fitting shorts-

this is in case the store doesnt have a dressing room and you can slip on pants (with leggings on) or dresses/skirts in the asisle or corners without too much bulk beneath

2. a loose fitting tank top/ tshirt or a dress without too much bulk beneath-

it will be easier to try on things on top of

3. slip on shoes

What not to wear:

sweaters, long sleeves, boots, tennies, heels

if it is cold, bring a jacket.

What I wore in said bad outfit choice:

(not by choice, more because it was a last minute thrifting trip)

Texas Ren Fest

Fall in Houston means the Texas Renissance Festival.

Its suppose to be the biggest one in the country. Its so much fun!!

Some people really get into it and it really seems like your in another time.

Last week Boyfriend took me out to Olive Garden for a fancy dinner. He even wore a blazer over his polo. My man look good. :)  Of course we were wayyy over dressed for the Olive Garden. But who cares. It was fun.

Tonight me, boyfriend and Twiny are babysitting the little twins. We are playing Yatzee. When was the last time you did that?

Family Reunion

We had our annual family reunion last week in the small small town of Shiner Texas. Better known for its beer,

I love my family and seeing everyone. Even if they are distant relatives I barely know.

Cold Weather? What is that?

                

As I've mentioned before, we don't get fall weather here in Tejas. But surprise surprise, yesterday it was in the 70s!! and today its been in the 60s!! This is crazy talk people!!

Yesterday it felt wonderfull and it was sunny and pretty out, so I convinced boyfriend to go take pictures at the park. Unfortunately it was colder than I expected.

 

It was also very very windy. Note the blurs on my pants that are suppose to be flowers.

FYI- in case you were wondering, Baskin Robbins has the Pumpkin Pie ICE CREAM!! and its amazing!!! I also found out that Marble Slab and Coldstone Creamery has similar flavors as well. So Im pretty sure Im going to go to both of those places eventually.....

I also found a recipe online for homemade pumpkin ice cream!! Im so excited to try it.
